This is a deeply informed analysis of the Ukraine War and it's global implications. Unfortunately the authors analysis is incomplete because he is missing a CRUCIAL piece of data.
The author isn't "seeing" the CLIMATE CRISIS that is unfolding. Because of that he isn't seeing it's effect on the "moves" the Great Powers are making.
WWIII has already started, it's about Climate Change.
Here’s what I said, February 12, 2022.
This will sound conspiratorial but I think the climate crisis is about to intensify dramatically.
“I think this, because the Great Powers are moving pieces on the board like an endgame is approaching.
They are acting like they think disaster is going to happen.
I don’t think we are going to unite to fight the climate crisis.”
Then Russia invaded Ukraine.

We are in a moment of history where things could go CATASTROPHICALLY BAD. Feb 23
If you understand the CLIMATE CRISIS you will understand that we are in an "endgame" moment of history. Putin and Xi are acting like "there is no tomorrow" and there are no "long term consequences" for their actions.
They are taking INSANE LEVELS of RISK right now.
Because they know what's happening RIGHT NOW and we are blindly acting as if the Climate Crisis is still decades away. Right now the players are playing two different games because there is MAJOR asymmetry in what's informing their choices.
Until the US and Europe acknowledge what's driving the conflict they will continue being behind the curve in response to Russia and China/s moves.
