I've written on that topic multiple times. I wrote a "Climate Change" political ad:

A Climate Change version of the “Daisy” ad

I wrote about visualizing "Climate Change" in terms of the Chicxulub Impact Event.

Living in Bomb Time — Ep. 07

Here's a piece about how to explain wildfires in terms of ecosystem turnover.

Living in Bomb Time — Ep. 10

I wrote a piece explicitly about the need for "Climate" memes that could engage people and get them to become "Climate Voters".

Living in Bomb Time — Ep12

So, I totally agree with you on the reality that our climate actions will be insufficient until there is enough popular will to make real action happen. When I wrote about COP26 I wrote about how the easiest course of action for the political leadership is to hope that the invisible hand of the market will solve the problem for them.

Living in Bomb Time -15

Finally, I wrote a political piece about the political/social response I think is going to happen when we do have a "Climate Awakening" and everyone finally understands how bad the Climate Crisis really is. A what happens when it "gets real" for everyone analysis. It's not going to be a happy "come to Jesus" moment.

On Politics: War by Other Means 02

We will be in a completely different world by the end of this decade. The Climate Shock we are about to experience is going to cause a political shock that will remake our world. By 2030 the only political issue will be the Climate Crisis.

BTW: I read your piece. I thought your statement, "that pessimism and optimism are both irrelevant--we just need the truth" was great.
