This is a very solid, very accurate article but I wouldn't get too excited about the heating effect of SOx compounds. I read the papers you referenced.
While I agree with the research. I see this is a technical squabble over details. The observational evidence overwhelmingly demonstrates that the "cooling" effect of sulfate aerosols is the predominant effect.
Hence "volcanic winters" like the Krakatoa Winter of 1883.
While this is interesting, it doesn't change the shape or pattern of the overall situation.
