We are yeast that was thrown into a pot full of sugar water with a small trickle of new sugar water coming in. We have "been fruitful and multiplied" until we have consumed all the sugar water in the pot.
Very soon now we will all have to start living on the small trickle of sugar water coming in.
Very soon now we are going to start experiencing "die back".
In the end our population will "balance" out at a level that's sustainable with the inflow of food resources. Probably at around 2/3 of what it could support.
I'm a cynic, the extra 1/3 that could support people will provide surpluses so that elites can have luxuries. Otherwise what's the point of being elite?
I thought you might want to know that the rate of warming has doubled, particularly in the last seven years. The planetary albedo has declined by 0.5W/m2 since 2000. Human GHG emissions by contrast create a 0.6W/m2 forcing.
