You made me LOL, I appreciate that.
Would it surprise you, that I have enjoyed washing dishes all of my life. One of my earliest memories is being three and sitting on the kitchen counter drying dishes for my grandmother as she washed them.
It's a very comforting chore for me and none of my wives ever washed dishes. Since I'm autistic and ocd about cleaning. None of them ever did laundry, clean the bathroom, or vacuum either.
Best cleaning story. Being in Mexico and asking the cleaning woman what kind of broom she wanted me to get for the house. We were just moving in and, as you know, houses on the Gulf get musty pretty fast.
Our "fixer" had arranged a squad of four women. All of whom were related to her. I was introduced to one of them. Her aunt. And I asked her what kind of broom she wanted me to get for the house.
They thought this was the most hysterical thing ever. A man. A gringo man, no less. Was asking them what kind of broom they wanted.
They laughed until tears came out of their eyes. Every time they calmed down, one of them would say something, and they would start howling again.
Finally they calmed down and I was told that most of the gringo houses they cleaned had hard brooms. What they preferred however were the very soft ones. The ones that contoured and flowed over the floor catching everything.
They were very pleased that I had asked them what their preference, was. They hoped I would let them show me how to keep a house in the tropics.
Several years later, when my wife had become a mentor to our fixer. She told us the rest of that story at a dinner party.
I had asked in Spanish about the type of broom the housekeeper would prefer. In the regional slang I had asked her if she wanted a hard or soft penis.
They all spoke Maya and had set each other off with jokes about which one she would prefer, and what sort of one I might have. They all thought I was a saint for the way I took care of my wife.
And I did get her a soft broom. Damn if it didn't work better than the one's I had been using.
That's my, "Man doing Housework" story.
