You don't need me to tell you this is really good. So, I'm just going to clap and add this to my poetry collection. It's perfect in form and message.

I will not presume to read anything into it about your private life. Although a piece this heartfelt can only come from personal experiences.

As someone who has been on both sides of that story I "feel your pain". For me, that's what poetry is about.

This should go in your "Personal Best" collection. The ones you treasure and reread again and again. Marveling that you were touched for a brief moment with grace and able to bring forth something honest and beautiful.
