He was the 19th/20th century, billionaire equivalent of that time. He bought up papers and turned them onto basically "FOX News".

People, meaning WHITE racist asshole Americans, ate that shit up then. Just the same way they are now. Just the same way they did with Radio in it's early days.

Hearst was able to use his papers to drum up a war between the US and Spain. We invaded Cuba, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.

We attacked and took as "ours" all of those parts of Spain. Hearst made even more billions because in addition to "newspapers" he was also into mining and real estate.

When we took these places. He was right behind the troops buying up land and mineral rights.

The Hearst's still have lawsuits going in Mexico. Over getting reparations for the vast holdings they acquired under the Porfino dictatorship, that were seized in 1910 during the Revolution.

We learned something about the consequences of letting people control too much of the media. That's why, during the 30's things like the FCC, the FTC, and the SEC were created.

We used to have rules preventing shit like this from happening.

Then came Reagan. Then came Republican "deregulation" and removal of the safeguards that were "strangling" business.

Then came Rupert Murdoch, a foreign national. Who was allowed to build a media empire Hearst would envy. FOX NEWS has really been great for the country wouldn't you say.

Or how about the Sinclair's. A less flashy media family that now controls something like 70% of the local TV stations in America.

Watch the local news lately? It's gotten very Trumpy. It's filled with human interest stories and reports on how CRIME is out of control. How WHITE people are being assaulted and robbed in cities controlled by Democrats.

70% of the local news stations are repeating this message, every night to WHITE America. But, I'm sure it's not going to affect the election.

Just like letting Trump back on Twitter won't have any effect on our politics or the vote in 24'.

We used to have laws preventing this. Because we went through it twice already.

But, then Republicans got concerned that teaching kids "real" history might make them feel bad. So, they got busy editing the school books.
