Yes they will. Fascism is often an alliance of a populist strongman with the 1% Class. Revolutions and civil wars always damage a country's economy for decades. The American Revolution caused an economic downturn worse than the Great Depression, that lasted for over 20 years.

Part of how post revolution societies make themselves “feel rich” is through depopulation. Typically by “cleansing” away about 30% of the population. Their wealth makes everyone “feel” richer for awhile right after the new government consolidates power.

In the American Revolution (First American Civil War) the country was depopulated by about 30%. Our Founders butchered the Loyalists until they fled or all died.

There is always someone to sacrifice. Someone the mob doesn't like. Someone they want to get rid of.

The 1% Class in the US are heavily invested in the Trumpublican Party. Trumpublicans worship with cultic fervor Evangelical/Industrialists like Elon Musk. They revere “The Makers” as BLESSED and SMART. The 1% want the Trumpublicans in power in just the same way that the 1% in Germany backed Hitler.

That 1% were afraid of a Communist Revolution. They allied with Hitler because they thought it would cement permanently their privileges. The American 1% will ally with the Trumpublicans because it is afraid of what people will do in reaction to the Climate Crisis.

They are certainly going to be willing to Make America Great Again by making the 30% who are “traitors” disappear.
