Yes, the warming is 3 fold and I think they are underestimating each of the 3 parts. Hansen's estimate would be closer to mine but he has a bug up his ass about clouds.

Hansen thinks the warming is mostly about S0x particulates. He is very bitter about the satellite that was lost in 2004. He feels that if we had been able to get measurements from that satellite he would be getting a Nobel prize.

As an analyst, I think Hansen undervalues the effect of global warming on low cloud formation because that's Goode's theory. That's my opinion as an analyst.

Science is a social endeavor. It's done by people. A big part of being able to evaluate the climate news is knowing exactly who's work they are reporting on. Knowing their backstory and their bias is important to get a nuanced understanding of what's being said.

A lot of the time, the reporting is "listening in" on a discussion between different people and their disciples.

Anyway, yes I think 0.8C by 2026. This is going to be very bad. That's why they are spinning it as 0.4C and saying "50/50".

There is a lot of frantic diplomacy going on right now. To use a metaphor "We are looking at a run on the food bank, and there aren't any reserves in the vault". Biden and Kerry are frantically trying to prevent that.

Once countries stop exporting food in order to horde it for domestic markets, the global food supply market could seize up. We are making promises right now that our ass cannot cover if this is a really bad year in terms of food supplies.
