Well, how far are you willing to go to win? Someone else pointed out that the problem is control of the Senate.

There are six Trumpublican Senators who could be replaced immediately by Democrats if they suddenly died.

With a 55-45 Democratic Senate, they could kill the filibuster, pack the Supreme Court, make Puerto Rico a state (two more Senators), create a national healthcare system, fix the Voting Rights Act, codify abortion rights nationally, pass real gun safety measures, and fund a Green New Deal. Real reform and progress could happen if just six Republican Senators would conveniently drop dead.

If you had the power to snap your fingers and make that happen, would you?

Biden won't. He's not willing to risk a civil war by assassinating those Senators.

I would. Because we are already in a state of civil war and they tried to assassinate the Democratic party Congress and Senate on Jan 6th. That wasn't just a coup attempt, it was a decapitation strike.

If they had succeeded, it is a certainty that Pelosi, Schumer, and most of the other Democratic Senators and Congress-people would have died. The intent of the whole project was to disrupt the transfer of power in such a way as to leave the Trumpublicans in control of the Senate and Congress during a "National Emergency".

The Republicans aren't fooling around. They are completely unified and acting as if they are at war with the rest of us. They are willing to assassinate Democrats in order to win.

So, if I was the President I would sanction those assassinations. I would do it to break the Trumpublican hold on the Senate so that the country could be saved.

Biden won't do that.

Instead he's going to try and use Roe the way FDR used the attack on Pearl Harbor. As a rallying issue, that will mobilize voters into giving Democrats the Senate and Congressional votes they need. Without any political assassinations and the risk of a catastrophic civil war.

I think this is the wrong choice. I would play hardball with the Trumpublican pig fuckers. They are traitors who are rebelling against the country they swore an oath to protect and serve.

I would have them rendered and in Gitmo being questioned with the "enhanced interrogation" methods that Republicans have assured us aren't torture. We would get to the bottom of Jan 6th and the traitors would face justice.

But, that's just me.

Addendum just for Mitch and the super nerdy:

I am coming at this from the same perspective as Sisko in the episode where he assassinates the Romulan Senator in order to get them into the war.
