"We may not be able to do anything about changing our destructive weather patterns, but we can do our piece by reducing the carbon footprint we leave on Earth every day at least."

That's not exactly true is it though?

There is another really important thing you can do that DWARFS "reducing your personal carbon footprint".

You can VOTE.

You can organize, you can evangelize, you can protest, and you can VOTE GREEN.

Because nothing you do personally means a rats ass to anyone. It's just you assuaging your guilt. Only doing personal efforts won't save you.

You will burn like everyone else.

ONLY MASSIVE POLITICAL ACTION CAN SAVE US NOW.

It's later than you think.

The most important consideration is the rapidly warming temperature. The change in the rate of warming.

Between 1850-1975 it averaged about 0.08C/decade.

Between 1975-2015 it averaged about 0.18C/per decade.

It is now 0.36C/decade.

Even if we de-carbonize completely overnight. That rate of warming will continue until Thermal Equilibrium is reached.

At about 4.5C of warming in 2080.

Because that's what 60 years of paleoclimate research indicates the Earth's temperature goes to when CO2 levels are at 420ppm.

That's why the weather patterns aren't getting better.

That's why things are getting worse.

That's why a billion people will probably starve by 2028.

If we are going to act on Climate Change, people need to be convinced of the danger.

They need to be evangelized.
