"Uncle Toms" or identification with the oppressors? Here in the US, one out of ten (10%) Black voters votes Trumpublican.

Now, the interesting thing is that 90% of that 10% are Black men. Some of the most successful Black men in the US vote Trumpublican.

The political ones are easy to understand. In a party that is overwhelmingly White they stand out and get attention. They are useful to the Trumpublican’s as props and tokens. So that can be trotted out and showed off as "proof we aren't racists".

In the Democratic party they are just another politician. In the Trumpublican party they can rise to high office very quickly.

But. Only if they are willing to throw their own people under the bus to prove their loyalty.

I've always wondered where that level of self hatred comes from.
