Umair, you just don't get WHITE racism. Not down to your bones, not in your blood. I am sure you have experienced it, it's pervasive. But, you are too rational and too empathetic to really understand it.
If you cannot get into the head of "the other" you cannot understand them. You don't know how to think like a racist. That's why you don't understand WHITE people. It's what flaws your analysis of American politics.

I know that sounds simplistic but I can demonstrate this with numbers very convincingly. Sadly, it's not hard. It's the backdrop to my life.
1968 - The Democrats have been in power for decades although the Presidency went to Eisenhower from 53' to 61'. What's going on, socially/politically?
Vietnam War - Very unpopular.
LBJ - Great Society social programs.
LBJ - Civil Rights Act
LBJ - Voting Rights Act
LBJ - retires and doesn't run in 68'
The Older Establishment faction wanted Hubert Humphrey. He was Johnson’s VP, a solid party man, and a decent politician. He would be continuity with the FDR ideas and policies that had been the foundation of the Democratic Party since the 30's.
The Young Progressive faction had been leaning towards Kennedy. Upon his death they rallied around “Clean Gene” McCarthy, the “Bernie Saunders” of the party at that time. His criticism of the LBJ Administration on its Vietnam policies had been extremely caustic and he was against the war.
White Southern Democrats, the “law and order” faction of the party rallied around George Wallace. The former Democratic governor of Alabama and an open segregationist, Wallace represented the “Old Democratic Party” of the segregationist South.
At the convention, the Party gave the nomination to Humphrey. Even though he had run in no primaries the “insider” vote gave him the delegates he needed.
McCarthy told supporters he could not endorse the nominee. Wallace ran as an “Independent”.
A lot of young progressive voters stayed home in November and didn’t vote. They wanted to punish the Party and they wanted Humphrey to lose.
Nixon won the popular vote by less than one point.
But, he carried most of the states outside the Northeast. Comfortably winning the electoral vote.
Former Alabama Governor George Wallace, head of the American Independent Party, took 13.5% of the popular vote, and won the electoral votes of the Deep South.
1968 was a TURNOUT election. Even with Wallace peeling off 13.5% of the WHITE Southern vote, Nixon won the popular vote by only one point. Young Progressive Democrats didn’t turn out for Humphrey and it was enough to give Nixon a narrow victory.
In 1972 Nixon CRUSHED McGovern by a LANDSLIDE.
Nixon won the election, with a 23.2% margin of victory in the popular vote. He received almost 18 million more popular votes than McGovern. The widest margin in the number of voters in ANY U.S. presidential election.
Nixon won because those White Southern Racist voters became Republicans. That's what the "Southern Strategy" was about. Signaling them that they had a home in the Republican party.
Since LBJ not one Democrat has won a majority of the White vote in America. Not one.
The big insight of Rove, Atwater, and Stone was that in the America of 1968 you didn't need any minority votes to win. If you had a majority of the White vote you would win. Republican power since 1968 has been about getting as many White votes as possible.
This worked really well for them, because American Whites are racist as fuck. At least about 2/3rds of them are.
In 2016 - 2 out of 3 White Americans voted for Trump
In 2020 - 2 out of 3 White Americans voted for Trump
In 2022 - 2 out of 3 White Americans voted for Trump.
Between 1968 and 2008 the Republicans controlled the Presidency 28 out of 40 years. If it had not been for Watergate and Ross Perot they would have had a clean sweep.
That's how powerful the racist White vote in America is. That group of voters has fucked the rest of us, over and over again, because they refuse to create or fund any "social good" that they might have to share with POC.
You know, "the takers".
They have systematically degraded American society and culture until it has reached the hideousness you so ably and eloquently describe. They want an Apartheid State. One where only "White Votes Matter".
This is Their Last Stand
What's changing is that they are about to lose power.
In California, whites have become a "majority minority" (less than 50% but still largest racial bloc). When this happened California went Democratic immediately.
Because the Trumpublicans have nothing to offer anyone other than more racism, homophobia, misogyny, and WHITE Exceptionalism (white people did EVERYTHING good in history, their history books tell them so). When they become a majority minority nationally, the same thing that happened in California will happen across the country.
That's why they are having their meltdown on immigration. Replacement is "real", they are about to lose power because there are too few of them to win at the ballot box.
This was on track to happen around 2036, as the Boomers (who overwhelmingly vote Trumpublican and have since 1972) are dying off.
GenZ is 51% minority. By 2036 even if 2/3 of the white population still votes for the White Nationalist Trumpublican party, it wouldn't matter. Just like in California, while they can hold onto power in areas that are low population and overwhelming WHITE (ND, SD, ID, MT, etc) they will lose everywhere else.
Their days in power were numbered already. Then Dobbs happened.
Dobbs was a disaster for them. The Zealots they packed the SC with jumped the gun and killed ROE before the Trumpublicans were securely in power again. The 2022 midterm shows how incredibly bad that was politically for the WHITES who desperately want to force White women to have more babies.
72% of white women in the 19-30 age range voted Democrat. The only group of white women that the Trumpublicans got a majority of, was women over 60 (Boomer White Women).
Abortion REALLY matters to women and Dobbs polarized a whole generation of women against Trumpublican IDEALS. Those women under 30 will probably NEVER vote for a Trumpublican candidate for ANYTHING.
Soon there will be more of them than there are Boomer Women (to be clear, there are way more Boomer women than Boomer men, men die younger).
By my analysis, Dobbs accelerated the fall of the Trumpublicans from around 2036 to around 2028.
Everything that's happening in our country right now is being driven by this political/demographic reality. This is the "last stand" of WHITE dominance in American politics. Which makes it an incredibly dangerous moment for our nation.
Moments like this often result in civil wars, ethnic/racial "cleansing", and genocides.
If there is a war it will be a "Race War". Because the Trumpublican party is 90% WHITE and has been since about 1990.
The Third American Civil War is getting hotter. The Trumpublican States push to ban “Abortion Pills” nationally, signals their endgame strategy.
