Those were kind words for the guy telling you disaster is coming. I appreciate that :-)

OK, let's put this in perspective.

It's not going to be the end of the world. Keep that in mind. Don't go "Prepper Crazy".

Embarrassing Reveal - I was a "Prepper" in the 80's. Do you know the Robin Williams + Walter Matthau movie "Survivor's"? I was one of those guys.

I read 'Soldier of Fortune' magazine. I had some guns. I had a cabin in a remote spot. I had serious skills. I was in the military and "clued in".

It's exhausting and expensive. You feel smug at first because you feel so much smarter than everyone else. Then it gets old, really fast.

I realized that I didn't want to live like the guy in The Survivalist (2015). I like civilization. Instead of putting my time and effort into trying to survive its collapse. Perhaps I should work towards preserving it.

Even now, that's the better option.

That being said, yeah these next few years are going to be bad. They could very easily turn into a combination of global famines and global warfare. Threading the needle here is going to be tough.

My entire life can be described in one sentence: Things didn’t go as planned, and I’m OK with that.
