This year is hotter than last, but not hugely. We seem to be bumping along at about +1.7°C.

A HUGE jump for a single year and the new baseline for warming of +0.4°C/Decade that's probable now. We could see a bump of about +0.05C this year as we finish processing the SOx termination shock.

That's in a La Nina cycle.

I think people start freaking out in response to disastrous harvest levels this fall. By next Spring there will be talk of "climate panic" behavior.
