There is truth in what you are saying.

Whatever we or our pointless politicos believe about climate change is irrelevant because we have no meaningful way to control the monster we’ve unleashed. Without energy, there is no path forward.

However, what we do now will make a huge difference in how this plays out.

We can be "Descent Realists" and try for a managed retreat strategy that holds onto as much of what we have achieved as possible.

OR NOT.

Right now we still have the time and resources to make choices. The longer we wait the fewer choices we will have.
