There are several things to always keep in mind when considering the response of the Elites to the Climate Crisis.

1. They are responsible.

2. They screwed up.

3. They are desperately trying to hide/obscure points 1 and 2.

Because they are afraid.

In Central America, in the ruins of many of the Classic Maya cities. Right before the end they built walls.

Not around the city to protect from invasion. Around the Elite residential area. Around the palaces.

In these cities the palace area is usually burned out. We find broken weapons and the unburied bodies of men, women, and children. Right to to the level of infants.

When their Elites couldn't make the rains come. When it was clear that the God's had turned away from them. The last act of "the people" was to slaughter them.

FYI the French Revolution was also caused by Climate Change.

The Elites will say and do ANYTHING to obscure their guilt in what's happening.
