"The Road" - great book, really good movie (Vigo is amazing actor) that's so harrowing you will only watch it once. The wildfire thing is true but not directly from reduced cloud cover. It's a function of temperature and rainfall that results in ecosystem turnover.

Every ecosystem on the planet is changing in response to global warming. As ecosystem turnover happens the old vegetation dies and becomes debris. This becomes fuel for fire. Our whole planet is going to burn during this century.
