The most insidious Climate Deniers are the handful of them who have advanced degrees. It gives them a ridiculous amount of credibility just because they are "scientists".

Scientists are still just people. Science is a social process. Plenty of scientists are criminal, or venal, or delusional, or petty, or spiteful, or rigid.

Over time science lurches forward but it can be a slow process. We are out of time.
