What do you see between 1930–1940?

Let’s talk about what happened to the Climate System in the 30’s.

The same dataset, but an alternate format. It looks very different from the first layout but it’s just a different way of seeing the data. The “heat spike” of the late 30’s and early 40’s is much easier to see in this format.

In the 30’s the global economy crashed (The Great Depression), this resulted in a lot less particulate pollution.

Small town America was not kind to the unemployed.

A “breadline” in NYC. These men are literally standing in line for 2 loaves of bread and some vegetables to take to their families.

It wasn’t an “accident”. It was bad government and lack of regulation on the financial system.
