That's it EXACTLY. They accuse "doomers" of "giving up" and advocating for BAU when they are the one's doing exactly that.

They preach that "we got this" and have a huge "portfolio" of promising projects to show the "global progress" being made. Their message is "we have nothing to fear but fear itself".

SO.

Just go about your business and "the market", with some prods from government, will solve this. It's a message of passivity.

They don't want you to actually do anything, but vote for the right politicians.

They certainly don't want you to do anything that might disrupt the increasingly fragile consumer society we live in. That's the CRIME of Doomers.

We aren't satisfied with promises, we want real change.
