Still thinking about this. You were wasting time in a park talking to Mums with Prams.
You should research the demographics of activism. There is a deep corpus of work.
The Young are who show up at demonstrations. They have free time, flexible schedules, and are the most easily radicalized. It’s why revolutionaries always come out of uni.
You want bodies at a demonstration you pass out flyers at a university.
The Older Types who have kids and jobs and no time are your organizational backend. They stuff envelopes, get flyers printed, organize mailing lists.
They are your infrastructure.
Recruiting them requires media presence. FTF is repellent. Their lives are stressed. They don’t want to talk to a random crazy who’s probably going to ask for money.
These days you reach them online. Tik Tok and YouTube are your friend. Use them.
They will donate some money but not a lot. They are stressed for money. They have kids.
The Donor Class.
They are the financial heavy hitters in the small donations crowd. If you want to be pure and not take money from corps.
People with disposable income. Double income, no kids kind of people. Older people who are well off. Divorced women who are well off (Jeff Bezo’s exwife).
Do targeted fundraising for these demos. Get your message in front of them.
Read Heinlein’s book "The Moon is a Harsh Mistress". It’s a detailed blueprint for organizing a revolution. Activism is a form of revolution.
If you are going to do it, be professional about it.
Here’s another Heinlein book that will make you insane but is extremely illuminating in terms of organizing a movement. SIXTH COLUMN or The Day After Tomorrow (alternate title).
Open your mind past his racism and think about what he is teaching you about organizing an underground movement. The guy was military intelligence. He knows what he is talking about. Reading this book wouldn’t be a waste of your time.
