So, how do you know when a president is "illegitimate"?

By definition it means they have obtained the office in an "unlawful manner". Which begs the question of who makes the laws and who interprets them.

The election in 2000 revealed a gaping hole in our election system that the Republican SC jumped on. They gave Bush the presidency and when it was determined.7 months later that he actually lost the final recount in FL, there were no consequences.

A judicial coup.happened without consequence and we were all told to just "move on".

Then came 9-11 and this "loophole" in our elections was never closed. It is still out the there as a precedent. Waiting for 2024.

There is another HUGE hole in our voting system. We say that voting is an "inalienable right" but there's an exception. The state can take away your right to vote if you are a criminal.

This has never been seriously addressed because it's a nonstarter third rail issue in our politics. No one other than the ACLU wants to advocate that criminals, murderers, rapists, child molesters, etc should have the right to vote. Even in prison.

So, we have this "loaded gun" of a loophole just lurking in our legal system waiting for a party unscrupulous enough to start using it on wide scale.

It's worked really well for Republicans for decades. 20% of Black men (about 2.1 million) who would vote Democratic cannot vote.

Our military has not objected to this. Do you think they will object if this starts being done to women?
