See, here's my problem. You are asking Liberals to move away from the Centrist Democrats who have been the only consistent winners in elections since 1968. It feels like you are advocating for "burning the village in order to save it".

While I agree in principle, timing is everything. Now is not the time for anything but holding the line and voting Blue.

I know that sounds like a sucky answer but it's what we are down to, because this is the "win or die" crunch moment for the Trumpublicans. Demographics are literally killing them.

Again, I know that everyone thinks my views are reductionist but American politics comes down to race. That's been true since LBJ and the CRA and the VRA. The passage of which mark the beginning of our modern politics.

Consider these data points.

Not one Democratic presidential candidate has gotten a majority of the White vote since LBJ.

Only one Republican has won a majority of the popular vote since 1988.

2 out of 3 White Americans consistently votes Trumpublican. That's about 42-44% of the total population. You should recognize that number, it was Trump's approval rating during both impeachment hearings.

42-44% are going to vote Red no matter what.

No matter what you say, no matter how great your policies are, no matter what, you are not getting their vote. The only way, the ONLY way the Dems hold onto power is to vote Blue no matter who again in 22' and 24'.

By 26/28 the Climate Crisis will be so bad that the Trumpublican party will disintegrate over their response to it. It's going to be hard to claim it's a hoax when hundreds of millions are dying and it's hotter than it's been in millions of years.

So, my take (as a Warren supporter) is too suck it up, yet again, and hold the line. This is for all the marbles, eyes on the prize.
