Right, people often think it was hotter in the past because the Sun was HOTTER. It wasn't, it was cooler.

If it wasn't that CO2 levels were tied to fossil fuels usage we wouldn't be having this discussion. It is BLINDINGLY obvious that CO2, CH4, and Sulfate Aerosols are the main levers on the Climate System.

The paleoclimate record is clear. But "denial" isn't just a river in Egypt.

We "want" it to "be safe" to use fossil fuels. So we have twisted ourselves into knots scientifically in order to make the "science" conform to our desires.
