Not quite, there was a mass shooting about five or six years ago here in DC, where a Liberal elderly man shot up a bunch of Republican Congressmen practicing for a softball game. Steve Scalise (R) a crazy "gun rights" guy almost died.

He did not change his views on guns. Because the Secret Service shot and killed the gunman and people were only wounded, Mr Scalise feels that the "good guy with gun is our best defense" policy has been proven.

We all just need Secret Service agents to follow us around all day.
