I have more or less lost complete interest in writing here, and I only write here (or anywhere else) for money.

This is all done in the name of 'stopping hate speech' and 'misinformation..' What it actually is, is giving power to the people who 'moderate' or 'run the website.'

*FYI - if someone gets banned for "hate speech" and "disinformation" from multiple sites wouldn't you say that's cause for concern about what they are saying?

As I tend to trigger madadjusted people, I have now moved most of my attention (in terms of comments) to Reddit.

I would tell you the story of what happened, but it's public. All told, patrons, etc, I took in around $65 to $70K during the past year. When my readers heard that Medium threatened to shadow ban and suspend me, they were very generous.

You can earn money on Reddit, but I am just there to read and comment. I no longer like to read on Medium. However, I am looking at other markets.

The money are gifts from my readers. Unlike most people here, I tend to have readers who aren't writers. They love what I write. Some have followed me from site to site for a decade or more. The income no longer comes directly from Medium payment.
