From now on, things are going to rapidly get worse

Here’s why

Bomb Time — The hyper accelerated rate of warming and climate change that will compress 1,000 years of normal inter-glacial warming into the next 20 years of human time as the thermal pulse from our “climate bomb” hits the planet.

The Election is Over, Now What?

While I write this, I’m watching the election news and it’s pretty clear that Biden is going to be the next president. Which from a Climate Change viewpoint is pretty good news. Another Trump presidency would have been voting for suicide from the perspective of Climate Change. Not going down that road is something to be happy about, no matter what your feelings about Joe Biden. Unfortunately, we are still in trouble, most people just don’t know it yet.

Dealing with Climate Change in a meaningful way is going to take a massive societal effort and therefore require focused political will. What this week’s election tells us, is that this will, doesn’t exist. No matter what Biden and the Democrats want to do on Climate, what this election tells us is that half of the country is going to oppose it. Which means, we are unlikely to make significant progress during the next four years.

My entire life can be described in one sentence: Things didn’t go as planned, and I’m OK with that.
