Last thoughts.

Looking at the numbers for Biden in 2020 reveals the weakness of Progressives.

The Democratic voting pool is 27% POC (out of the 51%) right now. Their percentage of the party will continue to grow as the percentage of the White population continues to decline.

In 2020 POC overwhelmingly rejected Progressive candidates.

That's why Bernie didn't get the nomination in 16' and 20'. He had minimal support in the voting blocks that make up over 50% of the party.

The Progressive faction of the Democratic party is a subset of the White faction of the Democratic voting pool. At best, they are about 40% of the White faction. Roughly 11-12% of the total Democratic vote.

They attempted to "capture the party by storm" in a series of blowout wins of the early primaries. In states where the populations are 90% White and Progressives are disproportionately strong in comparison to their overall numbers.

With that momentum they hoped to sweep to the nomination. Counting on the idea that they could get Democrats to "vote Blue no matter who" and vote for Bernie.

They were trying to game the system because it's the ONLY way they can win. It's inherently dishonest because they are trying to shortcut to victory instead of winning people over with their arguments.
