Kudos for being aware of this aspect of the American Revolution that gets glossed over in our Foundation Myths. Although once you see it, it's glaring.

What happened to the Loyalists?

Either you don't think there were very many, which is crazy. Or you think they all just accepted the change in government without complaint.

Because, after the war they they vanish from American History.

When I was writing my thesis this was one of my research points. I really wanted to understand what happened there.
