It's actually much worse than that. You are thinking in the "old weather paradigm". In the new paradigm, even places that were "safe" before are now at risk.

It isn't just Florida or Texas or California. It's the Midwest, the Atlantic Coast, the Appalachians, it's everywhere.

A major portion of the housing stock in the US is now at risk and has no future. Everything was built for a climate that no longer exists.

The implications of this on the economy, on internal climate migration, on housing, and on people's lives have not even begun to be discussed and grappled with. We are stumbling into the future with our eyes closed and our hands tied behind our backs.
