I'm not sure I agree with you. Basically what I hear you saying, is that "because of the overshoot", Collapse is inevitable. Accept that as fact and work from there.
The implication is that Billions need to die, fairly rapidly.
It's like in an Apocalypse movie. A "quick depopulation" is always preferable to a "slow depopulation". Because in a "quick depopulation" the survivors have oodles of resources.
In slow depopulations everything gets eaten up during the collapse and the survivors are starving.
I have a problem with that mindset. I don't accept yet, that we need to go down that road.
Because if that's what we want to do then let's have an "End of Nature" depopulation lottery and get it over with.
