You have articulated the science perfectly. As of now, there will be another 40-60 years of warming before temperatures start to stabilize.

We are looking at 4C to 5C as the final endpoint. Although there will probably be a CH4 spike between 2030-2050 of an additional 1C-2C.

This is really it, the end of a golden age.
