I REALLY try HARD to find balance these days Ed. You know, looking at the "big picture" and saying things like "nothing is 100% certain until it happens".

Reminding myself to "be humble" and question my certainty. To check and recheck my analysis. To question my assumptions and look for alternative explanations.

I keep hoping someone is going to point out something I've missed that will buy us more time. I try to keep an "open mind" to people like Hannah Ritchie and to hear their arguments in good faith.

If we had MORE TIME Ed, it could be a different outcome perhaps. Right now, I'm not seeing any GOOD paths forward.
