I never even considered this as an effect of autism. Memory and visualization are clearly deeply affected by it. I wonder if there are gender specific influences in autistic memory\visualization responses.

Fascinating piece. I appreciate the perspective of an autistic woman. When I was young there weren't any autistic girls. Or rather, there was, they just institutionalized them and gave a lot of them lobotomies to make them docile.
