I like this piece, it's very "big picture". It strongly echo's sci-fi writer David Brin's novel, "The Postman". Which is a terrible movie but a very thought provoking book.
Because, it looks at the same questions you are bringing up. Even down to the MGTOW assholes, Brin just calls them "Survivalists". The book is about the struggle to not let the weight of our past drag us down while we try to imagine and create something new.
Which is what you are talking about here right?
We need a vision of what a fair and just "post national" world could be. It should be appealing enough that we can get people to move towards it. Instead of having to force it on them at gunpoint.
Hopefully this is your kickoff point to start the conversation. It's one that we all need to think about.
Because if you aren't moving towards something, you're just drifting.
-Gunny on why your sorry cadet asses need to be rowing this boat, right G-d Damn now!
Personal Aside: One of the bleakest "Collapse" genre movies out there besides "The Road" is "The Survivalist (2015)". Have you seen it?
Much of what you are discussing is echoed there as well.
