I also read this one. It was the "oddest" of his apocalypse books. Including "A Wrinkle in the Skin" (aka The Ragged Edge).

At the time, I was really struck at how the racial power\reversal was slightly shocking to me. The idea that the "shoe" could be "one the other foot" was not part of my upbringing.
