I agree with you that this probably was a conservative leak to "lock in" votes. Somebody was probably waffling.

On the very same day that this comes out. Republicans meet in the morning to announce that they are forming a working group to "Outlaw Abortion at the Federal Level".

In anticipation of Roe being overturned.

Not that they have "inside knowledge" or anything. They just wanted to "lay the groundwork for when they have majorities again". Because it's unacceptable to them that some states will still allow abortions.

Fuck "states rights". Being Trumpublican's they only support states rights when the states do things they like. Abortion must be outlawed everywhere.

One guess who was a speaker and organizer of this new working group of Republican luminaries.

Republicans already knew Roe was going down. The only thing they are upset by is the timing. They aren't quite ready for the Summer rollout yet. This is going to be part of their campaign for the Fall.

Give us majorities in Congress and the Senate. We will impeach Biden and make abortion illegal nationally.
