I agree with Annie, the last five lines are my favorite. They are a wonderful changeup in style and tempo that really elevates elevates the poem.
The poem starts in an almost chanting style. It reads as epic poetry and it tells a story. There is a Joycean note in the use of alliteration.
I can visualize someone reading this as a performance at at poetry slam. It has that very old/very modern feel to it that is the current style.
But then, right at the end. A beat of silence and five lines that read as hiaku. Detached and at peace. A calm description of your now. Leaving the scent of perfume in the readers/listeners mind and sense memory.
