I agree, his basic argument is 100% sound. Direct investment is what's needed. No more fucking "tax cuts" for the "makers". No more huge bribes to companies to locate a factory in your state crap.
That’s not Investment.
But, this example is really off. In some ways it's as bad as a politician promising that the hundreds of millions in giveaways by a state, will be recovered because of all the jobs it will provide. It's a bait and switch argument.
It's deceptive to build your whole argument around chip foundries and then say, "that's just an example". Umair is better than that.
