Great article, most people don't understand this point. They imagine that we can replace the existing energy infrastructure with the "renewables" you mention, as if by magic.
No matter how many times you point out that we will need 3X the existing energy supply to power a hotter world's demand for energy, EV's, and air conditioning. People just optimistically say shit like "well with that kind of demand, the market will respond and make it happen".
The delusional thinking of the "renewable" crowd is as bad as the delusional thinking of the Climate Deniers.
Replacing personal autos with EV's is not going to be possible.
Cheap air travel and vacations is not going to be possible.
High energy lifestyles are not going to be possible.
No one wants to hear that. Saying that makes you a "Doomer". The freaking Climate Activists practically spit on me when I make comments pointing these things out.
"People need to believe in the future or they won't take action" is a direct quote of what a Climate Activist told me a few days ago. My articles are "not helpful".
