Good observation. I liked tying sci-fi and games into this, because they are important.

I remember when only "really smart" people played games like D&D (70's), complex board games (avalon hill), and were interested in computers. All of us were "marginal geeks" and it was a refugee from male culture.

Now it seems incredibly toxic to me.
