I wouldn't sweat too much about the earthquake risk. Cali has great building codes and experience with quakes. If it's less than a 6 Californians barely flinch. You are not that near the big fault line.
Your risk is going to be in the house inself. How sound is it, and how risky is the location. It sounds like you did your homework. So you should be good.
I wouldn't move to Seattle or Portland though. The quake they are due for is going to devastate the PNW zone.
