Do you know nothing of history?

Republicans held the White House from 1968 to 1992 with only a 4 year gap. 20 out of 24 years of Republican rule. Democratic voters turned out massively for Clinton in 92'.

He won the Presidenticy with 43% of the vote.

That's what all the White Democratic and Democratic POC vote amounted to in 1992. About 43%.

He won because the White Republican vote split between Perot and Bush. In 92' and 96'.

2 out of 3 White Americans votes Trumpublican. That's about 42-44% of the vote. You are never going to get their vote.

American politics is about race. That's it, that's all that matters to those 44%. They vote for the "White Party".

Trying to peel off enough White voters to eke out wins is what Democratic politics have been about for the last 50 years. The 2020 election had the highest turnout in American history.

TRUMP 49% - BIDEN 51%

Since 1992 the Democratic share of the electorate has grown from 43% to 51%. Looking at it any other way is election suicide.

Remember McGovern, Mondale, and Dukakis? You probably don't because they lost. Progressive Democrats have lost every fucking time for the last 50 years.

But, you know better than history. I'm sure it's just because they weren't Progressive enough.

Centrist Democrats are running the party because they are the only ones who have been able to win elections since the 90's. You can be as unhappy as you want about that, but it's the reality we live in.
