As we get closer to COP27, Umair is describing the reality of the situation perfectly. This is it, we are on the brink. If we do not respond now, then our ability to respond will be lost.
THE RATE OF GLOBAL WARMING IS NOW AT 0.36C PER DECADE.

That rate of warming won't stop until Thermal Equilibrium is reached. Somewhere between 4C and 5C at the current CO2 levels.
WE ARE GOING TO GET 2C OF WARMING AT A MINIMUM OVER THE NEXT 50 YEARS.
Our civilization cannot survive that amount of warming, that quickly. The first degree of warming we have experienced so far was our "heat buffer". Now we will start warming up rapidly.
So, this is it.
We get serious about this right now. Or, everyone who understands what's going on should start figuring out how they want to live through the Collapse.
It's the rest of your life after all.
One of the best documentaries on climate change I have seen came out in 2010. It was called “Earth 2100”. If you haven’t seen it here’s a link to it on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MDqRpM72Odg
Hosted by ABC journalist Bob Woodruff. The two-hour special explored what “a worst-case” future might look like as climate change plays out over the 21st century.
The show documents the life of a fictitious storyteller. “Lucy” born in 2009 as she describes her life through the 21st century.
The program presents snapshots of the Earth in the years 2015, 2030, 2050, 2085, and 2100 with analysis by scientists, historians, social anthropologists, and economists, including Jared Diamond, Thomas Homer-Dixon, Peter Gleick, James Howard Kunstler, Heidi Cullen, Alex Steffen and Joseph Tainter.
It is a little bit dated but its strength is that it shows how climate change is going to play out over a lifetime. It really gives you a sense of what’s in store for the children who are being born today.
If you watch it, keep in mind. Its optimistic. The data is much worse now. Things will happen much faster and it's gong to get much hotter than they thought in 2009.
