As someone who writes poetry, and who has memorized over 30 poems in my life, I think this is very good. The ending needs a little work maybe but overall it's really good.

Poetry is hard. It's not appreciated much anymore except as song lyrics but it is one of the oldest human art forms. You won't get a lot of reads on this but there are those of us who love poetry.
