As an example of what Umair is saying, the polls yesterday showed the Arizona Senate race to be a 48/51 (R/D) 1% Undecided dead heat. 48% of Arizona voters, 85% of them White, will vote for fascism in November.

2/3rds of White Voters in America, 85% of the MAGA Party, vote Trumpublican. The MAJORITY of Republican candidates for office on the ballot for statewide offices (295 out of 315) are saying that the 2020 Election was stolen.

That Joe Biden is an illegitimate President. That we are in a state of Civil War.

White America wants to be a Theocratic, Authoritarian, Apartheid Nation ruled by White Men.

You can argue that they have been misled but I don't think so. They know exactly what they are voting for. They know what they want, and they have been keeping lists of people they want to punish when they come "into their Glory".

Here's the philosophical question. If a majority votes for a fascist takeover (Hitler was elected by a majority BTW) is that a failure of Democracy? Do their votes, their desires not count?

Umair is right about these next few years being our moment of truth about who we want to be as a people. The Climate Crisis is intensifying rapidly and societal stress is going to get much worse.

Large parts of the Middle Class are going to feel real hunger as Dust Bowl 2.0 takes hold. Things are going to get worse.

These Midterms will make clear who "America" really is as we go forward into a world on the brink.
