Are you aware of the "Planet of the Apes" book? It was written by a far right Nationalist French racist in the 60's. The "apes" in the book are a "coded" way of saying "Blacks".

The author was obsessed with ideas of "racial purity" and that France was going to be overrun by Black Africans (apes). Who would then enslave and degrade the "White" race.

Knowing that, does it change the way you see those movies?
