Alan Moore is my FAVORITE Anarchist. His body of work is outstanding. "V for Vendetta" is brilliant and prescient.

It was written in response to Thatcherism/Reagan-ism but it absolutely applies to the US today. When I was still collecting comic books and going to Cons, Alan Moore signed my "1st Edition" copies.

People have mostly forgotten what a weird/scary/surreal time the 80's was. That was the decade when Batman morphed into the "Dark Knight" of Frank Miller (1986) which became the template for all who followed.

Comic books, like sci-fi in general, became a place where issues that were socially "toxic" could be discussed. The "graphic novel" as a serious art form gained acceptance because the art form itself became more adult in content.

Anyway, after you work through Moore, might I suggest Warren Ellis and "Transmetropolitan".
