Ahh, well it is true that we live in "Bomb Time" now. We are going to experience the equivalent of 1,000 years of "normal" inter-glacial warming in just 20 years. In climate terms we now live in "Fast Forward 50X" speed.

That's going to have a lot of consequences. Most of them bad. There is going to be die-back in the coming decades. We fucked this up with our stupidity and the refusal of Conservative America to take any responsibility for their actions.

However, I didn't mean to imply that this is the "end of days". Life will go on, it's going to be different though.

Being realistic about it means things like not moving to Florida, not living downstream from a dam that might burst, being aware of critical points of failure that exist in the infrastructure you depend on (ie. is there only one road into and out of where you live?). Things like that.

Teaching your kids where food comes from and showing them how to grow some of their own if they need to is something we should all do now. Basic small stuff you can do to improve their odds. That's what going to separate the survivors from the dead.

That's what I'm writing about.

My entire life can be described in one sentence: Things didn’t go as planned, and I’m OK with that.
